Long Winter does Geary Art Crawl

Long Winter joins Uma Nota's annual street festival for back-to-back events capping off Year 14

Spring is right around the corner, but before you start planting bulbs and preemptively picnicking, we've got a doozy of a season finale to share with you.

On March 7 and 8, we're partnering with Uma Nota Culture to close out year 14 with back-to-back events at this year's Geary Art Crawl. Since 2021, the non-profit festival held along Geary Avenue between Dupont Street and Davenport Road has drawn in large crowds of art lovers, local vendors, and musicians, featuring more than 300 artists, 30 local businesses, 150 guest businesses, and 250,000 visitors.

Hunkered down at Geary Factory Lofts x The Fueling Station (300 Geary Ave.), just west of Dufferin, we've got a jam-packed weekend of music and art lined up for our Year 14 finale. Swing by Geary Factory Lofts for sets from 2026 Juno nominees Kazdoura, dogwhistle's post-hardcore labour agitprop, screamo-indebted queercore from GUTMACHINE, 358Narada & asphalt tomb's live-scored presentation of the experimental film Velostravage / Velostravaig, featuring bike messengers, bike mechanics, and others in the cycling community, an open format live coding workshop with Endemics Collective, open decks by NOT A BBQ, open HDMI by InterAccess, and much more!

Tickets and full lineup below!

Limited advance tickets (skip the line!) are available for purchase on Zeffy. As always, pay-what-you-can tickets will be available at the door.

ABOUT GEARY ART CRAWL:

Geary Art Crawl is a free, community-driven arts festival that animates Toronto's Geary Avenue with interdisciplinary programming, creative workshops, and live cultural experiences. Founded in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the changing face of our beloved street, the festival was created to safely reconnect the community, provide paid opportunities for artists and arts workers, and support the neighbourhood's small businesses during a period of significant disruption. Since its inception, Geary Art Crawl has grown into an annual celebration of the corridor's vibrant creative ecosystem, activating studios, galleries, and industrial spaces while welcoming thousands of visitors to explore the area. Through workshops, performances, and collaborative projects, the festival highlights diverse artistic voices and fosters meaningful community engagement in shared public space.

ABOUT UMA NOTA CULTURE:

Uma Nota Culture is a registered not-for-profit whose mandate is to foster the landscape for diverse music and art in Canada, providing creative avenues for expression for both artists and revellers. UNC events are designed to be safe, accessible, friendly, and fun, broadening the audience of under-represented artists, especially those performing music in languages other than English, giving a platform for cross-cultural understanding, and cross-genre experimentation. UNC was founded in 2007 as a unique monthly event series in west-end Toronto, focusing on Afro-Brazilian, Latin, Caribbean, funk and soul music provided by both live acts and DJs. Uma Nota hosts concerts, festivals, block parties, film screenings, panel discussions, and workshops. Unpretentious, open-minded, lively and fun, Uma Nota is a place where people come together to dance, united by a polyrhythmic, tropical vibe.

Choose your own adventure: thrash against colonial purity politics with Indigenous-led hardcore from Indian Giver, sweat everything out to STELLA’s dance floor cacophony, take a dip in Toronto Experimental Translation Collective’s hot tub or lounge on one of Tamara Jones’ plush parodies of hostile architecture.
